The Pantry, operated by Feeding Hawaii Together, is an innovative food distribution center located in Oahu. Their mission is simple yet profound: to provide free, nutritious food to families in need. What sets The Pantry apart is their unique e-commerce platform, which allows families to select the items they need online and pick them up by appointment. This approach not only reduces food waste but also ensures that families receive food that meets their specific dietary needs and preferences.
Over the past year, several members of our team have continued to volunteer with The Pantry, witnessing firsthand the profound impact they have on countless lives. The Pantry partners with local farmers, distributors, and restaurants, working tirelessly to address food insecurity across the islands. On a day-to-day basis, they manage the logistics of food collection, sorting, and distribution, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. We are excited to renew our collaboration and support their mission once more.
Last year, our team not only volunteered but also organized a successful canned food drive. We are proud to have donated over $1,000 to this vital cause, and we’re already setting our sights higher for next year’s contributions. Our goal is to surpass our previous donation, amplifying our impact and helping to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
