Rolling into History: The Ultimate Guide to Preroll Cannabis in Oahu

A Milestone for Preroll Cannabis in Oahu!

History is in the making at Aloha Green Apothecary! Governor Green recently approved amendments to Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules (HAR), Chapter 11-850, permitting Medical Cannabis Dispensaries to include pre-rolled cannabis flower products on their menu.

For those of us who have been part of Aloha Green since 2017, this approval represents years of perseverance. Every manufactured product must be approved by the Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) before it can be offered. Now that preroll cannabis in Oahu is officially allowed, let’s dive into what makes our “High Tides” and new “Low Tides” so special.

Why Quality Matters: The “No-Shake” Promise

Most people think pre-rolls are made from “leftovers.” At AGA, we do things differently. This is the same premium flower found on our Oahu flower menu, now in a convenient pre-roll form.

  • What is Greenhouse Flower? Our cannabis is grown under the Hawaiian sun in our state-of-the-art greenhouse—as close to nature as possible.100% Bud, Zero Shake: We use the same high-quality, Hawaii-grown flower found in our jars.

  • Precision Rolling: Every joint is crafted to ensure an even burn and smooth draw every time.

Pro Tip: Want to dive deeper into our growing process? Check out page 5 of our Patient Handbook.

Choosing Your Wave: High Tides vs. Low Tides

Not every session requires the same amount. We offer two distinct sizes for our Oahu cannabis patients:

  • High Tides (0.5g): Each tin contains 6 pre-rolls. This is the classic choice, perfect for a full session or sharing with a fellow 329 cardholder.

    • Best for: Deep relaxation or chronic pain management.

  • Low Tides (0.3g): Each tin contains 10 pre-rolls. This is our “micro-dose” option for when you need a quick “tide turn” without committing to a full half-gram.

    • Best for: A quick sesh when you don’t want to save a half-smoked joint for later!

How to Store Preroll Cannabis in Oahu Humidity

Living in the islands means dealing with moisture. To keep your flower fresh:

  1. Use Airtight Containers: Keep your tins sealed. We use Boveda Humidity packs to keep moisture from spoiling your flower.

  2. Avoid the Sun: Don’t leave your tin in a hot car at the beach!

  3. Read the Labels: For guidance on interpreting labels correctly, refer to page 20 of our Patient Handbook.

Ready to Catch a Wave?

We’re thrilled to witness the continued growth of the Hawaii cannabis industry. As with all our offerings, we advise newcomers to “start low and go slow.”
