Aloha Green Apothecary is seeking a part-time Patient Consultant to create a rich and meaningful dispensary experience for our diverse clientele at our Ko’Olina location. The Patient Consultant is proactive and personable with a customer-first mindset and propensity to appropriately drive sales while going above and beyond with customer service. The role has an intimate understanding of cannabis and the company’s products, to act as a competent guide for customers. The Patient Consultant is adaptable, capable of multi-tasking and remaining positive, reliable, and well-organized on a revolving basis.

What you will do:

The Patient Consultant assists customers – novice and veteran – navigate the wide world of medicinal cannabis consumption. The part-time role is scheduled to work no more than 20 hours a week. The Patient Consultant focuses efforts on customer satisfaction, utilizing a personalized approach of communication and listening skills to tailor service to each different customer’s needs. The Patient Consultant shares their passion for cannabis with a high level of product and plant knowledge to expertly guide customers to select suitable products. The Patient Consultant is dedicated to cannabis compliance, following strict protocol in preparation of products, handling sales transactions, and maintaining the store’s visual appearance to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

· Promoting a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.

· Creating a pleasant customer experience by maintaining a tidy, properly stocked, and inviting store environment.

· Assessing customer needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different products to make appropriate recommendations.

· Understanding, recommending, and selling various types of cannabis products such as flowers, edibles, tinctures, or concentrates.

· Staying up-to-date with new products, strains, changes in laws, and industry trends in order to provide accurate information to customers.

· Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.

· Processing customer payments, handling cash transactions, and preparing customer orders.

· Verifying identification and valid 329 documentation for customers.

· Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis laws and regulations

What you’ll need:

The Patient Consultant role requires professionalism, fundamental retail sales knowledge, and substantial experience in customer service and cash handling. Patience, a desire to help people, and a passion for natural healing are essential to the role. Prior cannabis experience is not required but, a detailed-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and cleanliness are necessary. Candidates with a background in caregiving are encouraged to apply. The role requires less than 20 hours per week and at least one weekend day availability and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. The Patient Consultant must be at least 21 years old and pass a federal background check. Strong preference for local candidates (Oahu residents) as we are urgently hiring.
